We pick up & deliver in the Sydney metropolitan area. We can also make arrangements to pick up outside of the Sydney metropolitan area if needed.
You can send us pictures of the piece using our email address acclaimed@live.com. The more pictures you send, accompanied with a brief explanation, the more accurate the estimate. Alternatively, we can come to your premises to quote.
Although we specialise in antiques, we also restore mid-century furniture, retro furniture, vintage 60's furniture, Danish design, Art Deco, arts & crafts, and of course family heirlooms from any period.
We do full restorations to fireplaces and are happy to remove and/or install from your premises. We also restore all types of doors - gallery doors, panelled doors, cedar doors, & pine doors.
We are not retailers of antique brass & iron beds but if you contact us we can source one for you. Contact us and we will be happy to help.
No, we don't buy antique furniture but if you contact us we can advise you of some selling options.
Yes we polish all types of metals. Because we restore brass & iron beds, we polish lots of brass so if you have door handles or any other hardware that needs cleaning & polishing we can help. We can also provide nickel & chrome replating restoration services if required.
We repair all types of chairs from antique to modern. Most chairs get a bit wobbly after being in constant use. You can see more about our chair services in our chair repair & restoration section.
Yes, paint stripping & removing old polish is done using traditional methods.
People also ask if that means dipping in caustic baths. We certainly do not endorse the caustic bath method of stripping furniture as it can do irreversible damage to the piece of furniture. We strip all our furniture by hand. This can be a quite labour intensive process but there is far less risk of damaging the piece of furniture.
